Current weather

The snow depth is measured at 6:00 UTC (7 a.m. local time). Fresh snow depth contains the snow which has been accumulated within the last 24 hours. The snow depths are measured manually and are only partly checked and therefore may include gaps or errors.

At some sites the coordinates for the snow measurements differ from the automatic stations (see the PDF-list at the bottom of page).

The general map shows a measured value choosen for each region. The displayed values represent the fresh snow depth of the last 24 hours and the snow depth total of the morning recording at 6:00 UTC. The values are updated daily. If you click on a region you will see an enlarged image with further measuring stations.

The values are updated daily. If you click on a station, you get a diagram showing the snow depth. To go back to the general map, just click on the "All Switzerland" link.

Diagrams
The diagram is updated daily and shows the values for the previous three weeks and the present one. The displayed values represent the daily fresh snow depth (red line) and the snow depth total of the morning recording at 6:00 UTC (blue line).

If you click on the "All Switzerland" link you go back to the general map and if you click on "Region" you go back to the region you were viewing.

If you are interested in further parameters, you can click on the relevant flag in the toolbar above. You will then go straight to the view mode you have selected at that time.
